We make each and every rose gold wedding ring in our workshop located in Whakatū, Nelson, New Zealand. Our jeweller, Siggy is an expert craftsperson, she has made over 10,000 wedding rings in her career that spans 2 decades. This experience allows her to hand forge each rose gold ring that leaves our workshop, almost all jewellery companies cast their rings to save time and to be more efficient. The process of forging, work hardening and soldering our rings changes the way the atoms of the gold are structured. Heating, cooling, hammering, sanding and filing takes so much time, but it adds so much strength to each ring. This is important if you want to hand your wedding ring down from generation to generation. We also think it adds a bit of magic to each ring. Rose gold is made from pure gold mixed with different amounts of copper and sterling silver depending on the karat of the metal. If you’re not sure what metal to choose for your wedding ring, we wrote an article all about it. We don’t believe in pointlessly gendering things, but for the sake of being found, we do like to say that we make Men’s wedding rings, women’s wedding rings, and wedding rings for our enby, non-binary friends.
